Position Summary
The Hotel Shuttle Driver is responsible for safely transporting guests to and from designated locations, such as airports, train stations, and local attractions, while providing excellent customer service. This position plays a key role in creating a positive first and last impression of the hotel.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate the hotel shuttle vehicle in accordance with traffic laws and hotel policies.
- Greet all guests in a friendly and professional manner, offering assistance with luggage as needed.
- Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
- Maintain a clean, well-fueled, and properly functioning vehicle at all times.
- Adhere to scheduled pick-up and drop-off times to ensure timely guest transport.
- Assist with guest inquiries and communicate effectively with the front desk or concierge about guest requests or delays.
- Record and maintain accurate transportation logs, mileage reports, and maintenance records.
- Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or unsafe conditions immediately to management.
- Support other guest service functions as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience as a professional driver or in a customer service role preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid driver's license (CDL may be required depending on vehicle size and local regulations).
- Clean driving record.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift luggage and assist guests as needed (up to 50 lbs).
- Knowledge of local area, airports, and major attractions a plus.
Working Conditions
- Requires ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to sit, stand, and drive for extended periods.
