Job Summary
Provide basic clerical assistance and telephone services for El Paso Community College (EPCC) by providing outreach and telephone assistance to students, potential students, and the public regarding college programs and services. In-person work on campus is an essential function of this position.
Essential Functions
Conduct outreach calls and manage incoming calls from students or potential students and provide follow-up information when needed.
Provide information assistance to the public, students, and potential students regarding programs, departments, services, deadlines, dates, schedules, events, information on available grants, and application links. Provide students with tools and resources to connect them to the appropriate department or program, such as admissions, registration, and the business office.
Access information from various websites and databases to respond appropriately to inquiries.
Provide general information regarding admissions, registration, tuition, deadlines, campus, and programs using printed and electronic reference materials and emails.
Maintain call log spreadsheets.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications :
1. One (1) year of College (30 credit hours) and one (1) year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
NOTE : A copy of the transcript reflecting this required education MUST be submitted for consideration and reflect completed coursework and degrees conferred. The candidate must be fully qualified for the position at the time of application.
2. Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette skills.
3. Critical thinking skills.
4. Good computer skills.
5. Basic knowledge of office practices and procedures.
6. Knowledge of available resources.
Special Conditions :

Transcripts issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by a full translation (word for word) by a current member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). Additionally, each foreign transcript must be evaluated for equivalency to United States accredited coursework.
