Engineering Technician, Energy

What to Expect Tesla Energy is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, tester and robot recoveries, and mechanical design using CAD. This role may require working a night shift schedule, and flexibility to work various shifts-including days, nights, and swing shifts-is essential.

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot equipment / process faults on the module line and help recover, report, and escalate when needed
• Support Engineers in adhoc or planned downtime activities including clear understanding of electrical / mechanical equipment, PLC, troubleshooting, and operation of equipment
• Help create / modify equipment troubleshooting guides and train operation teams when applicable
• Support Engineers in submitting and managing orders including vendor communication, obtaining quotes, on and offsite logistics, PO creation, and asset management
• Audit spares and add / remove items, change minimum quantities, for all equipment in the line
