Project Manager

Project Manager, NPF

Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, the Project Manager, NPF supports the planning, coordination, and execution of operational projects across the Company's fuel distribution sites in Dutch Harbor, Kodiak, and Valdez, AK. This role is responsible for organizing project workflows, monitoring progress against timelines and deliverables, and ensuring consistent communication between site operations and corporate leadership. The Project Manager, NPF helps drive safe, efficient, and compliant operations by managing project tasks, tracking milestones, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This position is based at the Company's corporate office in Anchorage, AK and requires frequent travel to Dutch Harbor, Kodiak, and Valdez, AK.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage project plans related to terminal operations, including scope definition, task sequencing, milestone tracking, and documentation.
• Support site leaders by organizing project workflows, identifying task dependencies, monitoring progress, and escalating issues or delays as needed.
• Gather data and project updates from operations teams to support decision making on fuel delivery, product handling, inventory management, and service reliability.
• Coordinate project inputs related to billing, inventory control, and accounts receivable by collecting information and preparing summaries for cross-functional partners.
• Assist with customer-focused projects, including documenting service needs, tracking outreach actions, and supporting initiatives that enhance market opportunities.
• Prepare project status reports for the VP, Operations, consolidating updates on inventory, sales, operational issues, business development activities, and ongoing initiatives.
• Track and coordinate maintenance-related projects by monitoring work orders, documenting progress, ensuring timely vendor communication, and maintaining updated project logs.
• Support compliance projects by assisting with regulatory documentation, coordinating required submissions, and ensuring project tasks align with ADEC, CG, EPA, Fire Marshal, and OSHA requirements.
• Assist with environmental response projects by managing timelines, compiling response documentation, and facilitating communication between internal stakeholders and agencies.
• Support operational budget development by gathering required data, tracking revisions, and ensuring project-related financial information is captured accurately.
• Coordinate contracting activities by preparing project documentation, supporting bid processes, tracking contractor timelines, and ensuring deliverables stay on schedule.
• Support project-based implementation of company policies, safety procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives through documentation, communication, and tracking.
• Promote engagement with Alaska Native communities, demonstrating knowledge of or willingness to learn about Inupiaq culture and values.
• Undertake additional projects and responsibilities as delegated by the VP, Operations.

Education and/or Experience

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent work experience in fuel distribution, operations support, or logistics may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience:

• Demonstrated experience supporting projects in operations, logistics, fuel handling, industrial environments, or similar fields.
• Experience coordinating project timelines, tracking deliverables, and managing documentation across multiple stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data, identify issues, and support informed decision making.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, including operations, compliance, maintenance, finance, and customer-facing groups.
• Experience preparing reports, summaries, and project updates for leadership.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with project management tools or software is preferred.
• Understanding of regulatory environments (ADEC, CG, EPA, Fire Marshal, OSHA) or willingness to learn and support compliance-related project tasks.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing project requirements.

• Knowledge of or willingness to learn about the Iupiaq culture and values; experience working in Alaska Native or Indigenous contexts is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, and use hands and arms regularly.
• Must be able to lift/move up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Exposure to adverse weather conditions and industrial environments with moderate noise.
• Requires frequent travel (50-70%) between PSI locations.
