Our construction client in South Milwaukee is seeking a temporary Payroll Specialist for the next four months. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of payroll processing experience and a willingness to assist with HR-related tasks. UKG Ready experience is also a plus. The position is full-time hours Monday through Friday and fully on-site with an ability to move to hybrid once trust is established. Please apply for immediate consideration.

Key Responsibilities
Support and serve as backup to the current Payroll Specialist for weekly, multi-state payrolls (400 employees)
Assist with payroll processing, timecard management, and resolving payroll discrepancies
Maintain accuracy of employee data within UKG Ready (or similar HRIS)
Assist with HR-related tasks such as onboarding, benefits administration, and employee record updates
Collaborate with HR, Accounting, and Operations teams to ensure accurate and timely processing
Handle sensitive employee and payroll data with discretion and confidentiality Qualifications
2+ years of payroll experience required (multi-state experience preferred)
Experience with UKG Ready or a comparable HRIS / payroll system strongly preferred
Exposure to HR support or HRIS data management is a plus
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Comfortable in a fast-changing, growth-oriented environment
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
