[job_card.job_description]Step in to support month-end close , reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting. Review and assist with general ledger activity, balance sheets, and P&L accuracy. Collaborate with staff accountants on AP, AR, account analysis, fixed assets, and cash management. Provide hands-on help wherever needed—whether it’s preparing schedules, answering audit requests, or mentoring team members. Keep the books tight and the team motivated while the manager is away. Hours : flexible early starts available for the early birds (some start at 7 AM or earlier) Schedule : 4 days in-office + 1 remote day per week Location : Johns Island, SC (Many employees commute from Summerville and Ladson) Compensation : Highly competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience Duration : ~3–4 months (flexible start and end date depending on your availability) Culture : Established, growing, and collaborative — people genuinely enjoy working here. - Experienced in financial accounting, month-end close, and GAAP reporting .
- Confident working both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Positive, steady, and able to jump in quickly to keep things humming.
What the Financial Accountant Will Do
As the Contract Financial Accountant , you’ll work closely with the CFO and support day-to-day financial accounting activities alongside a talented staff of three.
