Department- Dermatology & PediatricsLocation- Multiple Locations in Suffolk CountyHours- Morning and Afternoon ShiftsThe Medical Office Assistant is a key member of the clinical team, dedicated to delivering the highest quality of patient care. Responsibilities include both administrative and clinical duties. The Medical Office Assistant prepares patients for the physician and performs tasks in accordance with NYS guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and disinfect exam rooms, stock supplies
- Perform Health & Safety Assessment tasks, including log-keeping and quality checks
- Set up and maintain equipment
- Administrative tasks/ Front desk
- Receptionist/ Customer Service
- Collect and label specimens (blood, urine) following proper protocols
- Maintain confidentiality and follow safety/security procedures
- Adhere to HIPAA and company policies
- Participate in mandatory training and meetings
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- MA Certification
- Team player with the ability to work well with physicians and staff
- Knowledge of EMR, Word Processing, and healthcare software
