Are you an experienced electrician with a passion for leadership and technical excellence? Our client is seeking a Machine Electrician - Lead to oversee and execute advanced electrical work on manufacturing machinery. In this hands-on leadership role, you'll take charge of machine builds, manage project timelines, and foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
You'll lead daily huddle meetings, implement 5S principles on the floor, and train up-and-coming electricians-all while ensuring adherence to key standards like UL, NFPA 79, NEC, and CE. Your ability to troubleshoot, mentor, and communicate effectively will be instrumental in driving efficiency and maintaining high-quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities :
- Independently perform high-skill electrical work on complex machinery and systems
- Lead project work on the floor, managing teams, timelines, and deliverables
- Conduct daily huddle meetings to align teams and drive production goals
- Implement and teach 5S and lean practices to promote efficiency and safety
- Maintain and help develop machine electrical standards and documentation
- Mentor, train, and support the development of junior and less experienced electricians
- Use Epicor ERP software to manage task timelines, updates, and labor tracking
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, internal procedures, and customer specifications
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve technical challenges and improve processes
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED5+ years of experience in electrical trades, preferably in a manufacturing setting3+ years of hands-on experience with 220V or higher electrical systemsStrong working knowledge of UL, NFPA 79, NEC, and CE compliance standardsDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine-related electrical issuesProficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)Familiarity with ERP software (Epicor preferred)Strong written and verbal communication skillsProven leadership abilities in a shop or production environmentPreferred Qualifications :
Journeyman or Licensed Master ElectricianExperience leading team-based manufacturing or build projectsFormal training or certification in Lean Manufacturing or 5SPrior experience with machine electrical standardization and documentationStrong interpersonal and coaching skills with a track record of team development
