Description

We are seeking an experienced Controller with a CPA to lead our accounting function through our next phase of high growth. This role requires a proven leader with deep PE-backed SaaS experience who can scale accounting operations, manage M&A integrations, and build robust financial controls. The ideal candidate will have a track record of building high-performing accounting teams while managing complex technical accounting matters including revenue recognition, audit management, and ERP implementations.

Requirements

Accounting Operations & Financial Reporting

  • Lead monthly close process end-to-end with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement
  • Ensure GAAP compliance and timely financial reporting to CFO, PE sponsors, lenders, and board
  • Own technical accounting matters including revenue recognition for SaaS subscriptions
  • Provide financial analysis and insights that support business decision-making

M&A Integration & Transaction Support

  • Lead accounting workstream for M&A transactions including purchase accounting, system integration, and policy harmonization
  • Partner with VP Finance on deal modeling and due diligence support
  • Deliver timely pro forma financial statements and integration accounting
  • Manage post-close reconciliation and true-ups

    • Systems & Technology

  • Partner with VP Finance on ERP implementation and optimization
  • Own chart of accounts design and technical accounting requirements
  • Serve as accounting system power user and administrator
  • Champion automation initiatives to eliminate manual processes

    • Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Design and maintain effective internal control frameworks
  • Implement multi-tier close review processes to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and coordinate audit processes
  • Prepare lender reporting packages and monitor debt covenant compliance

    • Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team
  • Foster culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning
  • Build scalable processes that support company growth

    • What We're Looking For :

  • CPA certification (active and in good standing)
  • 10+ years progressive accounting experience with at least 5 years as Controller or Senior Accounting Manager
  • PE / VC-backed company experience
  • M&A integration experience with proven track record
  • SaaS / subscription revenue experience with strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Big 4 or national public accounting firm background
  • ERP experience (NetSuite strongly preferred)
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearly
  • Self-motivated with ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environment
