Quality Assurance Engineer

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Technology team in Bangalore. This is an amazing opportunity to work on Clarivate's Alexander Street product and content management systems. Alexander Street products are curated, discipline-focused, primary-source collections, and streaming media for learning and research.

About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, or similar engineering or science discipline.
• Less than 2 years of total experience providing quality assurance to a software development team for a commercial product
• Experience of providing quality assurance to web applications in a variety of browsers.
• Knowledge of Chrome dev-tools for providing additional error information from the console.
• Experience in Selenium, Test Rail or other test systems.
• Experience in Github, JIRA, Confluence

What will you be doing in this role?

Develop & execute, automation & manual test suites for web applications

Working with development engineers, architects & product managers to understand product workflows, requirements & acceptance criteria

Creating and maintaining accounts for quality assurance and software development

Perform manual testing where required and create detailed test scenarios and test cases

Collaborate closely with the development team to clarify requirements, share feedback, and resolve issues quickly

Product you will be developing

The team develops & maintains several applications and systems that support workflows of the Content Management systems feeding into the Alexander Street product platform. This involves ingestion, indexing, and publishing digital content (audio, video, text / documents, images) to the Alexander Street product. This product is part of the ProQuest brand of Clarivate.

About the Team

This role is part of the technology team as part of the Academia & Government business segment. Our squads collaborate to build the best-in-class software solutions.

Hours of Work

This is a full-time opportunity with Clarivate, 9 hours per day including lunch break
