Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school in Silver Spring, MD for the current school year on a contract basis. This role requires expertise in delivering specialized instruction tailored to the unique learning needs of students with disabilities.

Qualifications :

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students
  • Ability to develop and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong munication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of instructional strategies and behavioral interventions for diverse learners

Location :

  • Elementary school setting in Silver Spring, MD

    • Responsibilities :

  • Provide instruction to students with special needs in accordance with their IEPs
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to create inclusive learning environments
  • Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records
  • Utilize differentiated teaching methods and assistive technologies
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to student evaluations
