Housekeeper/Janitor

VCA Animal Specialty Group (ASG) is a very busy 24-hour Emergency and Specialty Veterinary Hospital. We are located in Los Angeles, 10 minutes from Downtown Los Angeles. We have an opening for an experienced and highly motivated Housekeeper/Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate must:

Be a team player who is friendly, compassionate and hard working. Be reliable and avoid being tardy and calling out from shifts. Have a positive attitude and excellent communication, and be open to feedback. Be able to take initiative and multi-task. Be able to lift at least 30 lb. Be able to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during an 8-hr. shift. Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor at all time.

Candidates will be responsible for the following duties:

• Mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, laundry.
• Keep entire hospital, both inside and outside, clean throughout the day.
• Stock housekeeping supplies as needed throughout the hospital.
• Clean all aspects of the restrooms multiple times per day.
• Clean up animal urine and feces inside and outside of the hospital.
• Regularly disinfect the backyard grass.
