Telemetry Monitoring Tech - LCH (Nights)

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :

High school diploma or equivalent.

Successful completion of EMT – Paramedic program or graduation from related allied health sciences program or one (1) year related experience.

Passing score of 80% or higher of UTMB’s arrhythmia test.

JOB SUMMARY :

To provide specialized advanced technical skills in all technical aspects of the telemetry monitoring system.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

• Operates and troubleshoots all functions of the telemetry monitoring system :

Admits, transfers, and discharges patient and enters all required information in telemetry monitoring system.

Adjusts alarms. o Reviews trends and alarms.

Orders monitoring supplies.

Interprets EKG rhythms.

Performs daily quality checks of freestanding cardio-defibrillators.

Ensures that equipment has current electrical and maintenance inspections.

Uses aseptic techniques and infection control measures in performance of duties.
