Infection Prevention Program Director
This role is labeled hybrid and will require on-site attendance at Fifth Avenue Place in Pittsburgh, PA.
General Overview :
Responsible for designing, implementing and directing a system-wide infection prevention program. This includes, but is not limited to, surveillance, analysis, reporting, data collection and ensuring regulatory requirements / standards are in compliance. Directs and facilitates network-wide efforts to ensure that the IP Program is managed using a data-driven and process improvement focus and are aligned back to strategic initiatives. Develops and communicates the strategic vision, scope and tactics related to Infection Prevention. Assures that network-wide initiatives are focused and aligned on achieving defined targets, improving operational effectiveness and optimizing efficiencies. Develops, deploys and coordinates communication and education programs to support the ongoing learning of the AHN teams and its key stakeholders. Ensures data is available to key stakeholders in a timely way and actionable format. Provides ongoing analysis to leadership on Program status, estimating year-end achievements and recommendations for further action.

Qualifications :
Minimum : Master's degree in healthcare related field or business; Certification in Infection Control (CIC) to be obtained within 12 months of hire date. Incumbents in the role prior to 11 / 01 / 2025 are exempt from this requirement. 10 years in healthcare; Management experience; 5 years managing Infection Prevention; CPR American Heart Association; Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate; Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate; Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Preferred : Bachelor's in Nursing, Microbiology or Epidemiology OR Masters in Public Health OR Certified Medical Technologist; Network management experience; Valid PA RN licensure
