    • Schedule Details : Join our dynamic Operating Room team! This full-time position involves working evening shifts (8 or 10 hours) from Monday to Friday, including on-call duty with majority overnight and occasional weekend responsibilities. You will be required to arrive within 30 minutes when on call.

    Major Responsibilities :

  • Prepare surgical areas by ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient environment while utilizing aseptic techniques.
  • Assist in all types of procedures and maintain a basic knowledge of various surgical practices.
  • Set up and break down operating rooms for different surgical cases, operating necessary equipment, and meeting supply demands.
  • Function as a Second Assistant as needed and notify staff of any equipment or supply issues.
  • Transport patients and supplies, maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Manage specialty carts to ensure all items are complete and in working order.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of age-specific care requirements and the ability to perform necessary assessments relative to patients’ needs.

    • Licensure and Certification Required :

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required within 6 months unless otherwise specified.

    • Education & Experience :

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program is necessary.
  • No prior experience is required.

    • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

  • Familiarity with aseptic techniques and operating room equipment.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Able to withstand a fast-paced and stressful environment.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs., push / pull with force, and perform various movements throughout the shift.
  • Continuous exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, including blood, body fluids, and operating machinery.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment.
