Accounting Assistant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting hourly pay rate of $19.00 to $29.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with preparing accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Help to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
• Help to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Aid in maintaining effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Assist with filing federal, state, and local tax returns.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, or finance or related experience.
• 1-3+ years of experience assisting in accounting and auditing.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel).

Qualifications:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail..
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
