• Shift Available : 3rd shift (11 : 00pm-7 : 00am).
• Note : The 3rd shift position (11 : 00pm-7 : 00am), requires the first 90-days to be a training period in 1st shift(7 : 00am-3 : 00pm).
• Position Summary

This position will be responsible for ensuring production and facility equipment is functioning at all times. They will perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure production machinery runs efficiently. Technicians will be responsible for tear down, repair, reassembly and modifications of complicated mechanical machinery. They must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical problems. They will follow preventative maintenance schedules along with existing equipment protocol including building maintenance.

• Essential Duties and Tasks

• Required general knowledge in mechanics (gears, bearings, pulleys, belts, etc...), pneumatics and hydraulics in order to effectively perform various duties to install and maintain production machines and facility equipment.
• Conduct troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance service.
• Examine parts for defects, such as breakage and excessive wear.
• Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production during machine service.
• Disassemble and reassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts to inspect, test and repair.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment to fulfill tasks.
• Perform low voltage electrical troubleshooting and repairs on various equipment and building maintenance.
• Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment and machinery.
• Record repairs and maintenance performed.
• Cut and weld metal repair broken parts, fabricate new parts and assemble new equipment.
• Safely operate a forklift.
• Required to have a set of tools to perform job requirements.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays and holidays.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Qualifications, Education and Experience
• High school diploma or GED.
• Very high mechanical aptitude and intermediate math skills.
• Ability to verbally communicate effectively.
• Minimum of three years of experience in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of processing / packaging equipment, as well as building maintenance.
• Electrical training / experience with 480-volt, 3 phase / machine controls.
• Basic knowledge on PLC and able to read electrical schematics.
