About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Wellhart, LLC to find a qualified Hematology and Oncology MD in Richmond, Virginia, 23226!

We are seeking a board-certified Hematologist / Oncologist for a locum tenens assignment in Virginia. This opportunity begins on Dec 22, 2025, for a 5-day assignment, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. The physician will oversee a nurse practitioner and participate in research study enrollment, providing specialized care in hematology and oncology.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology patient care
  • Oversight and clinical supervision of a nurse practitioner
  • Enroll eligible patients in research studies
  • Participate in call coverage as required

  • Board certification in Hematology and Medical Oncology required
  • Active Virginia medical license required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • NPDB submission required during name clear process
  • Clean background required for temporary privileges
