[job_card.job_description]Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provide service to individuals in their own homes and communities, who need assistance caring for themselves as a result of old age, sickness, disability, and / or other infliction's. Assistance includes bathing, exercising, meal planning and preparation, dressing, positioning, transferring / ambulating, feeding, companionship, housekeeping / laundry, personal hygiene / grooming, transportation, shopping / errands / outings, toileting, incontinence care, and ensuring client safety. Certified Nursing Assistant are responsible for ensuring that service is delivered in a caring and respectful manner, in accordance with relevant Agency policies and industry standards. Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary and ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; and providing fresh water and nourishment. Provides adjunct care by administering enemas, douches, non-sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, sitz and therapeutic baths; and applying restraints. Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine and recording intake and output information. Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients' call lights and requests; and reporting observations of the patient to nursing supervisor. Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures. Protects organization's value by keeping patient information confidential. Must be licensed by the Department of Health, MD Must have a current negative TB test or will be able to obtain one. Pass a background check Have reliable transportation Worked as CNA / HHA : 1 year (Preferred)
