Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) for a top Healthcare client.
This core role is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborating with medical providers and the care team to provide comprehensive and compassionate treatment. The RN utilizes established nursing models to assess and manage patient conditions, acts as a vital advocate for patients and families, and works to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
- Assess the patient's condition upon admission and throughout each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Administer prescribed medications safely, monitor the patient for therapeutic responses, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
- Provide exceptional care by proactively anticipating patient needs, responding promptly to requests, and facilitating the resolution of patient concerns.
- Act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, consistently embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values.
- Ensure all care provided is in line with departmental requirements and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.
Requirements
Education
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) is required.Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required (implied by degree).Experience
Minimum of one (1) year of Acute Care Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) experience is REQUIRED.Certifications / Licenses
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the relevant state is required (implied by the job title 'Registered Nurse').Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.Skills
