About CAM's Child Family Services :
As a Head Start Program, we provide year-round early childhood education serving children aged 0 through pre-kindergarten. As a teacher at CAM, you'll be part of a dynamic team engaged in a continuous cycle of observing, guiding, learning, and assessing children's progress. You'll create a joyful and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities include but aren't limited to) :
Supervise children and maintain a safe environment.Nurture children's curiosity and spirit with joy and respect.Facilitate age-appropriate, play-based curriculum and activities.Communicate and collaborate effectively with children, staff, and parents.Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.Support the teaching team to maintain proper ratios and structure.Ensure the health and safety of each child, following emergency procedures.Who You Are :

Qualifications (by Title) :
Preschool Teacher :
Education : Must have a minimum of 24 units of Early Childhood Education and meet the eligibility requirements for a Child Development Teacher Permit through the CTC. Preferred : AA / BA in ECE (including 24 units ECE / CD including core courses + 16 GE units).Permit : Must have a current Child Development Teacher Permit from the CTCPreferred : Experience working with children with special needsInfant / Toddler Teacher :
Education : Must have a minimum of 24 units of Early Childhood Education (including 6 units specific to infant / toddler care) and meet permit requirements. Preferred : AA / BA in ECE / CD (and coursework meeting CA Child Care Licensing requirements for fully qualified infant / toddler teacher - 24 core units, 6 infant / toddler specific).Permit : Must have a current Child Development Teacher Permit from the CTCPreferred : Experience working with children with special needsAssociate Teacher + Associate Teacher Floats :
Education : Must have a minimum of 12 college-level semester / equivalent quarter units (covering child / human growth and development, child / family / community, and program / curriculum). For Infant / Toddler classrooms : 6 ECE units must be infant / toddler specificPermit : Must have an Associate-level Permit from the CTCFor Floats : May be asked to work in different classrooms on different days.
