Licensed Physician Coder

A company is looking for a Coder Physician.

Key Responsibilities

Abstracts, codes, sequences, and interprets clinical information from various medical records

Assigns correct diagnoses and procedure codes while ensuring accurate sequencing

Maintains compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, and documents productivity levels

Required Qualifications

Successful completion of an AAPC or AHIMA-approved Coding Certificate Program

Minimum of two to four years of current production coding experience in both acute care and profee

Must possess certificates such as CPC, COC, CIC, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, and / or CCS-P

Experience with Cerner, Revcycle, and Optum Encoder Pro preferred

Ability to maintain a coding accuracy of 95% and achieve 8 CPH productivity within 4 weeks
