Lead the Credit Function of a Growing Community Bank
Investors Community Bank is a relationship-driven community bank with a strong focus on business banking and commercial lending—while still offering the personal banking services our customers rely on. We're looking for a strategic and experienced Chief Credit Officer to oversee the bank's credit operations and ensure the strength of our lending practices. This executive-level role is central to shaping credit strategy, managing risk, and supporting growth across all lending portfolios.
Job Description
As Chief Credit Officer, you'll lead the credit team, establish and maintain credit policies, and monitor the health of the bank's loan portfolio. You'll also play a key role in approving complex loans, guiding lending officers, and ensuring that growth aligns with prudent credit risk management. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned credit leader who can balance strategy with hands-on oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee the bank's credit policies and procedures.
- Lead and mentor the credit team, providing expertise and support in loan structuring and approvals.
- Review and approve complex or high-value credit requests in line with the bank's risk appetite.
- Monitor credit risk trends and portfolio performance, reporting to senior leadership and the board.
- Collaborate with lending officers and executive leadership to align growth objectives with sound credit practices.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal audit policies.
