A national nonprofit organization focused on improving health outcomes is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Support Specialist to join its team. This role is fully remote, with the exception of picking up and returning computer equipment at the organization’s office. Candidates must reside in the Washington, DC area.
About the Role
The Patient Support Specialist will manage a high volume of processing financial assistance applications. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to interpret financial documentation. The individual will regularly handle confidential information and must maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Process assigned tasks accurately and efficiently, maintaining a high standard of quality.Send clear and professional communications through GMS messaging and email.Review and interpret financial documents with strong accuracy and attention to detail.Handle sensitive and confidential information in a secure and responsible manner.Collaborate with team members while also working independently for sustained periods.Manage multiple assignments, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.Qualifications
1–2 years of administrative support and customer service experience; experience in a health-related industry is a plus.Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.Solid customer service skills and professional communication style.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Proven integrity and discretion when managing confidential information.Strong time management skills and ability to balance multiple priorities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Microsoft Teams.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including professional email and messaging etiquette.
