This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

4x10 hours, Days; weekends, holidays, with on-call/callback as needed (1-2 times/week and 1-2 weekends/month).

Job Description

The radiologic technologist will perform interventional radiology procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience in neuroscience or neurosurgery and will be responsible for assisting in radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, while demonstrating commitment to patient rights and service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Select exposure factors and position patients to produce diagnostic-quality images.
• Administer oral contrast as needed for exams.
• Instruct and prepare patients for procedures and assist the Radiologist during interventions.
• Operate x-ray equipment, CR and DR systems competently and proficiently.
• Report equipment malfunctions and ensure all assigned procedures are completed in a timely manner.
• Maintain medication security and demonstrate competency in health care services for all age groups.
• Participate in hospital performance improvement activities and maintain confidentiality in patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Licensing in the state of New York.
• Two (2) years of experience in a related field.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Experience in Neurosurgery or Neuroscience is required.
• AART certification is required.
• VIR certification is a nice to have.
