American Traveler is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with California licensure and strong ICU and neonatal care skills for a day shift contract. Job Details Work in the Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics unit of an acute care hospital, Patient populations include adult ICU and Level III or higher Neonatal ICU, Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts per week from 7 : 00 am to 7 : 30 pm, with every other weekend required, Must be able to perform advanced mechanical ventilation and respiratory monitoring procedures, Epic EMR is used; Epic experience is preferred, Job Requirements Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy program recognized by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience in an acute care hospital, Extensive experience in adult intensive care and Level III or higher neonatal intensive care required, Active California RCP and RRT credentials required, Current AHA certifications : BLS and NRP required, Must be able to provide copy of all certifications at time of consideration, License required if applicable, Additional Information Role involves comprehensive respiratory assessment, management of mechanical ventilation, and independent participation in infant transport services, Expected to assist with ongoing department tasks such as scheduling, performance improvement, or statistics, Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills are necessary, Orientation modules must be completed during onboarding, with training time varying by specialty, Only one holiday will be approved for time off during the contract, Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing, Return staff must have been gone for at least one year to be eligible, Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are accepted at the local rate,
