Florida Licensed Coding Quality Specialist

A company is looking for a Coding Quality Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Perform coding quality reviews of medical records to ensure accurate ICD-10-CM code assignment

Provide formal reports on audit findings and conduct education for internal and external coders

Maintain current knowledge of coding guidelines, regulations, and assist in process improvements

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of recent production coding experience in Retrospective Risk Adjustment coding

Minimum of 2 years of experience conducting coder audits in the Risk Adjustment environment

Required knowledge and coding experience in Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial coding

At least 5 years certified with a core coding credential from AHIMA or AAPC (no apprentice credentials accepted)

Technical proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
