The Cook or Kitchen Prep will :

  • Prepare all meals (breakfast, lunch and snacks) complying with NAEYC Health and safety regulations
  • Maintain inventory and safeguard the storage of food, equipment and supplies
  • Assist with food preparation as it relates to special events
  • Assist in preparation and maintenance of food reports and records as required by the food program, ensuring the kitchen is meeting all Health regulations including proper storage and temperature log
  • Maintain order, sanitation and cleanliness in the serving of food, including eating utensils, kitchen equipment and storage area
  • Requisition purchases and maintain adequate food

Education, Experience, and Required Skills

  • Foodservice Sanitation Certificate required
  • Two or more years of related experience
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Budget conscious and dependable
