Overview :

Bassett Healthcare Network , a progressive, academic health system in central New York, and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking a comprehensive ophthalmologist. Visa Sponsorship Available.

Bassett Healthcare Network is an integrated health care system that provides care and service to people living in an eight-county region covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York.  The organization includes five corporately affiliated hospitals, as well as skilled nursing facilities, community and school- based health centers, and health partners in related fields.

Job Description & Responsibilities :

• Join an established group of 5 ophthalmologists and 3
• Current need is for a general ophthalmologist who can provide comprehensive eye care
• Current group has pediatric, retina and glaucoma specialists
• Support staff consists of ophthalmic technicians, LPN’s,and RN’s and are well trained
• On call is every 5th weekend, from Cooperstown, and rarely busy
• Outreach clinics are attended by all ophthalmologists but are limited to only one location each
• Referral patterns to tertiary care ophthalmologists are well established.
• Salary Range : $433,000 - $525,000 plus performance-based compensation. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
• Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap.  Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment
• Residency stipend up to $40,000 for up to 18 months prior to graduation
• Sign-on Bonus up to $100,000
• Group Employed Model
