A company is looking for a Principal Data Scientist to help shape the future of underwriting products in healthcare and care management.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement predictive models for underwriting and patient care management using machine learning techniques
Analyze large datasets to identify trends and patterns that inform underwriting decisions and enhance patient care strategies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data-driven solutions
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and 12+ years of data science experience, or a Master's / Ph.D. and 7+ years of experience
Advanced proficiency in Python and its core data science ecosystem
Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
At least 2+ years of experience in health underwriting, insurance, or managed care
Fluency in SQL, relational databases, and cloud computing environments like AWS
