Description : This position is for an ICU / CCU Registered Nurse. Shifts are nights from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30. The nurse will care for patients with a 1 : 2 ratio. The ICU has 4 beds. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience. First-time travelers are accepted. Every other weekend shift is required. No on-call duties are expected. Clinicians may float as needed within their scope. Schedule requests may be discussed with management. Local candidates are welcomed. Active state nursing license is required to apply. RTO restrictions ideally should not exceed 5 days. The facility may call off up to 36 hours during the assignment without payment for those hours. Candidates must possess the ability to perform cardiac monitoring and emergency interventions. Skills required include interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of multi-system organ failure. Nurses must be capable of obtaining 12 lead EKGs and have experience with IV insulin protocols. Candidates should be proficient in various IV therapy skills including arterial line management and blood product administration. Additional required skills include managing continuous IV sedation and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips. Experience with respiratory care is necessary, including assistance with BiPAP and care of ventilated patients. Knowledge of infection prevention and management of surgical wounds is essential.
