Position Title : QA / QC Technician

Department : Operations

Reports To : Project Manager / VP of Operations

Location : Project Sites & Office

Purpose of the Role

The QA / QC Technician ensures that all installed electrical work meets project specifications, industry standards, and company quality expectations. This role also verifies material deliveries, confirms completeness of shipped / received Bills of Material (BOMs), and documents all inspection results.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Installation Verification

Inspect installed electrical work for accuracy, quality, and compliance with drawings, specifications, NEC, and client requirements.

  • Document deficiencies and track corrective actions until resolved.
  • Support field teams with guidance on quality-related issues.
  • Material Receiving & BOM Verification

    • Receive and inspect shipments against purchase orders and project BOMs.

  • Document shortages, damages, or discrepancies immediately.
  • Confirm materials are labeled, stored, and staged for installation.
  • Documentation & Reporting

    • Maintain inspection logs, checklists, and QA / QC records for each project.

  • Provide reports to Project Managers and Operations leadership on progress and issues.
  • Ensure traceability of QA / QC documentation for project closeout.
  • Collaboration & Communication

    • Work closely with Project Managers, Foremen, and Purchasing / Logistics to resolve QA / QC issues.

  • Escalate recurring or critical issues to Operations leadership.
  • Participate in project closeout reviews and lessons-learned sessions.

    • Qualifications (Minimum Requirements)

  • Experience in electrical construction or inspection (preferred).
  • Knowledge of NEC and standard construction practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
