Shipping Specialist

Position Summary :

The Shipping Specialist will be reliable and demonstrate basic skills to perform routine tasks. The Specialist will flex within different areas of the warehouse departments and work with Warehouse Management to execute inventory goals and needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Meet all responsibilities of a Shipping Associate

Serve as a subject matter expert and certified trainer for Movements, TXO In / Out, Replenishment, Forklift, and Wave Picker; serve as primary point of contact for system and process related questions

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods safely and efficiently within the warehouse.

Accountable for being trained and proactively working 1 additional assigned shipping function and 1 assigned inventory function, as directed by the warehouse leadership team

Intermediate NAV function

Capable of collaborating with the shipping and inventory teams to delegate team members for needed initiatives

Motivated and excited to train others in certified trainer functions

Process all returns and follow return protocol

Work collaboratively with the warehouse team as a whole to support efficiency initiatives and cross departmental training

Proactively take initiative to drive and contribute to continuous improvement projects in various warehouse processes

Showcase conduct aligned with a respectful work environment to both peers and supervisors

Communicate effectively to ensure effective working relationships with peers and supervisors

Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area

Champion a culture of safety

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

1-2 years' experience working in a warehouse environment

1-2 years' experience working with a warehouse management system

Intermediate Microsoft NAV competency

Strong attention to detail

Excellent collaboration and professionalism

Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Strong planning, time management, and organizational skills,

Proficient with Microsoft Office 365

Physical Requirements :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to pick up and lift up objects, sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, and twist. The employee must be able to lift and / or move up to 40 pounds.
