Industrial Assembler

Disassemble motors, noting parts identification, configuration, condition, problems, and failures.

Operate various equipment, including a buffer, air tools, hand and foot shear, forklifts, and hoists.

Properly mark parts, take photos, and thoroughly complete documentation on iPad to ensure accurate job completion.

Perform basic tests of electromechanical equipment and troubleshoot known or suspected problems using meggers, meters, gauges, etc.

Be vigilant for abnormalities in test runs such as rubbing, noise, end play, brush noise, and commutation.

Repair or replace defective mechanical or electromechanical parts including bearings, brushes, motor leads, gears, seals, couplers, brake assemblies, fans, and end shields.

Assist with the final assembly of motors per job instructions, including assembling ball, roller, and sleeve bearings.

Retest reassembled equipment to ensure proper voltage, operation, and rotations.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Five years or more of mechanical experience as a mechanic.

Ability to perform basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages.

Capability to read, write, and comprehend simple to moderately complex written and verbal instructions.

Understanding and performing various job-related training, operational, and safety procedures.

Proficiency in operating forklift trucks, cranes, and other equipment.

Eligibility to receive respirator clearance.

Skill in reading tape measures, dial calipers, and micrometers.

M-F 7 am - 3 : 30 pm $22-28 / hour

This is a contract to hire position based out of Tucson, AZ.

The pay range for this position is $38.50 - $49.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. This is a fully onsite position in Tucson, AZ.
