Whitaker Networks is currently searching for a full-time experienced Systems Administrator who enjoys owning environments, solving real-world problems, and working directly with clients to keep their systems secure, stable, and improving.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree is helpful, but equivalent experience is acceptable.

• Three or more years of hands-on Systems Administration experience, preferably in an MSP environment
• Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
• Working knowledge of virtualization platforms and networking fundamentals
• Experience supporting cloud services, especially Microsoft 365
• Comfort working directly with clients and managing multiple environments
• Ability to prioritize, self-direct, and make sound technical decisions
• Certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, or similar are a plus!

Our Systems Administrator will:

• Own and manage Windows-based client environments including servers, networks, and core applications
• Design, improve, and maintain infrastructure
• Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V
• Support and optimize Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
• Configure and manage firewalls, switches, and network infrastructure
• Troubleshoot complex issues across multiple clients with varying priorities
• Implement security best practices including patching, backups, and access controls
• Communicate clearly with clients, translating technical decisions into business impact
• Document systems and processes so knowledge is shared
• Collaborate with internal team members on architecture improvements and tooling
