Who You Are

As a Mortgage Loan Closer, you are our key support. You will be responsible for reviewing final underwriting approvals for mortgage loans in process to confirm completion and closing readiness. More than that, this role is about providing top-quality service and doing so with integrity, caring, and excellence in mind.

What You'll Do

Review final underwriting approval for mortgage loans in process to confirm completion and closing readiness. Utilize subject matter expertise to ensure that organization is adhering to current internal policies and State/Federal mortgage regulations. Review mortgage loan documents for accuracy and prepare mortgage closing packages to ensure that mortgage process is running efficiently and follows regulatory guidelines. Serve as back-up to Mortgage Funder, reviewing final signed closing packages for accuracy prior to wire request and authorization as necessary. Act as a liaison between the clients, underwriters, and organizational staff to ensure effective communication throughout multiple departments. Always take action using integrity, caring, and excellence to achieve all-win outcomes.

What You'll Need

1+ years of real estate processing or closing experience or 2+ years of loan operations experience. Strong customer service skills. Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of basic mortgage lending regulatory guidelines. Proficiency with Microsoft computer applications. Additional preferred skills include a bachelor's degree, experience with Empower LOS or Blend applications, experience with Desktop Underwriting (DU) or AUS, bilingual (English and Spanish preferred), experience with real estate title work and title policy endorsements, experience and extensive knowledge of current TRID and RESPA regulations, and knowledge of legal documents related to consumer real estate.
