Software Engineer Journeyman 1

OM Group Inc. is hiring a Software Engineer Journeyman 1 to support the development enhancement and integration of mission-critical applications for the OHASIS and Socium GIS platforms. This role is ideal for a technically skilled developer who thrives in collaborative cross-functional teams and is committed to delivering secure high-quality solutions for DoD environments.

Responsibilities :

Provide application development enhancements and integration services for OHASIS and Socium GIS
Collaborate within a cross-functional team environment
Support web-based application development and integration with geospatial technologies

Requirements :

Minimum 4 years of software development experience within the past 10 years

Proficiency in web-based application development languages and frameworks (e.g. JavaScript Python )

Experience with relational databases APIs and geospatial technologies

Experience managing server environments software configurations and system security controls

Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity requirements including RMF and ATO processes.

Familiarity with cloud and on-premises environments

Familiarity with Agile or iterative development methodologies

Proximity to the National Capital Region for occasional onsite work

IAT Level II Certification (e.g. Security)

Active Secret Security Clearance

Contingent upon award; expected to begin in January 2026

Compensation will be determined based on several factors including relevant experience education skills certifications and market conditions with an expected range of $110000 to $120000
