Job Opportunity :

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has an exciting opportunity for a well-rounded risk control professional to support our growing and diverse Casualty business, including Manufacturing, Products, Retail, Real Estate, Energy and Transportation accounts, concentrating on General Liability, Auto Liability and Excess / Umbrella lines of business. The position reports directly to the VP Casualty Risk Control, however all Risk Engineers at BHSI are fully integrated with the Underwriting Team(s). In support of our North America region, the following BHSI office locations will be considered : Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Seattle. Other BHSI office locations will be considered for the right candidate.

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Evaluate complex technical risks and exposures that could impact a wide book of business
• Create content and other resources to address emerging and changing issues
• Support the underwriting process through individual risk assessments and technical research
• Lead customer visits for the purposes of improving our knowledge of the risk
• Participate in customer and broker meetings to strengthen our relationships and deliver our value add proposition
• Support other lines of business as needed.

BHSI Offers :

The base salary range for this position in locations listed above is $130,000 - $175,000, along with annual bonus eligibility. Total compensation for a candidate is determined by their relevant skills, location, and experience.
