Civil Engineer

AECOM is seeking a highly talented and motivated Civil Engineer to join our Central California team. The new position will support the growth of the Central California Department whose work emphasis is on meeting the engineering needs of our local Special District and Municipal clients as well as supporting other Regions within the Water Business Line.  We are seeking an individual with technical project management and business development experience in water / wastewater and other civil engineering projects.  Typical responsibilities include;

Technical

• Provide technical guidance in the planning stage of a project including preparation of funding applications environmental Right of Way acquisitions preliminary engineering studies basis of design reports master planning and rate and connection fee studies.
• Provide technical guidance in the design stage of the project including preparation of construction drawings and technical specifications as well as cost estimating.
• Provide technical guidance in the bidding stage of the project including attendance to pre bid meetings answering requests for information preparation of addenda and bid opening and analysis.
• Provide technical guidance and management in the construction phase of the project which may include engineering services only such as review of requests for information and shop drawings submittals or full construction administration services including inspection services.
• Mentorship and development of younger professionals.
