American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU float pool position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and current WA or compact state licensure.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is based in a hospital nursing float pool with coverage mainly for the ED holding unit and ICUWill work across multiple units including ICU, PCU, Med-Surg, CCU, Rehab, and the ED holding area as neededPrimary unit assignment is ED holding, with mixed patient diagnoses and high-paced environmentPatient ratios : ICU 1 : 2, PCU / CCU 1 : 4, Med-Surg 1 : 5, Rehab 1 : 8 with team modelSpecialized procedures and therapies include cardiac rhythm interpretation, vent management, and invasive line managementUses EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing systemNight shift position with 12-hour shifts; schedule varies according to unit needs and is provided three weeks at a timeFloating may be required within scope of practice, including partial shifts to other unitsResponsible for caring for patients with complex diagnoses including respiratory failure, sepsis, DKA, CVA, and moreWill assist with patient transport throughout the hospital on night shifts as neededTeam includes techs, respiratory therapists, hospitalist and intensivist support 24 / 7Orientation includes two days of hospital onboarding plus one day on assigned unit; provided four hours orientation to additional units when floatingUp to five days of approved time off allowed; additional time off by request and may be added to end of assignmentNo holiday requests, self-scheduling, or on-call requirementsFirst-time travelers will be considered for this position\n \n Requirements\n
