Hiring School Nurse (LPN)

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable LPN to provide medical support in a school setting. This role involves monitoring and addressing health concerns throughout the school day, promoting wellness, and supporting disease prevention efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct care for medical needs

Monitor the physical condition and respond to health concerns throughout the school day

Support the classroom as needed

Collaborate with school staff and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care

Maintain documentation and comply with all applicable state education codes and nursing standards

Minimum Qualifications

Current LPN or RN license in the state of North Carolina

One year of school nurse experience preferred

One year of pediatric experience preferred

Current CPR certification

TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)

Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
