Hardware technician

Job Title- Hardware technician
Duration- 3 months contract
Pay- $25/hr W2
Location- Centralia WA
Retail - Offsite - Work approximately 40 hours per week in Medford OR / Eugene OR / Centralia WA area.
This role supports *** stores by performing IT hardware installations, service calls, staging, and QA. You'll travel daily between retail locations (up to several hours away), with direction from a full-time *** employee. This is not a remote position - reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required. Mileage reimbursement is provided. MVR background check required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and service PC and printer hardware in retail stores
• Refurbish, QA, and repair returned store hardware
• Perform staging, configuration, and warranty claim processing
• Use asset tracking tools and accurately document work
• Lift equipment (up to 30 lbs regularly, 80 lbs with help)

Requirements:

• 2+ years of IT experience (hardware focus preferred)
• Valid driver's license & reliable transportation
• Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Comfortable with frequent travel and physical work
• Proficiency in basic admin tools (Word, Excel, inventory systems)

Nice to Have:

• Technical school education or related certifications
• Prior experience refurbishing IT hardware

Interview Process:

• 1st Round: Remote (video/phone)
• 2nd Round: Onsite interview
