Overview

This unique position offers the opportunity to apply your knowledge and expertise in Structural Engineering and evaluation of existing structures in a whole new way. Our growing Structural Engineering Department is seeking a qualified Engineer to lead our inspection teams.

Geosyntec has a very diverse set of clients and as such there is a broad spectrum of projects that may involve; bridges, dams, industrial processing and power facilities, heavy-civil construction, erection and controlled demolition engineering, earth retaining structures, harbors, piers, and wharfs. Our global footprint presents the potential for these projects to be located just about anywhere in the world. There is a growing demand to evaluate existing facilities to augment for increased production, retrofit or replace structures at the end of their service life, or evaluate structures under temporary conditions or unintended uses. All of this starts with the inspection of these critical structures. While the primary role of this position is to serve in a capacity as a structural inspector, you will also be asked to contribute to the evaluations (load rating) and design of repairs / retrofits / replacement for these structures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Structural Team Leader for Inspections;
• Structural Condition Assessments;
• Bridge Load Rating
• Retrofit Design and Repair Detailing
• Provide quality control of construction documents.
• Assisting and Training Early and Mid-Career professionals in condition assessments and repair / retrofit design.
• Contribute as required as a designer / analyst.
• Structural value engineering, third party design and constructability review, and risk assessment.
• Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.

The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec's total compensation package for employees. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.
