Senior UX RESEARCHER

Senior / Lead UX Research Contractor
3–6 Month Contract | 40 Hours/Week - No C2C

Overview
We are seeking a Senior or Lead UX Research Contractor for a 3–6 month engagement to drive continuous discovery for onboarding experiences across multiple digital product teams. This role will shape user experiences through ongoing research, clear insights, and close partnership with cross-functional stakeholders—ensuring solutions simplify financial decisions and build user confidence.

Research Planning & Prioritization

• Partner with product teams to co-create research plans and define learning objectives
• Advise on research priorities across multiple product areas, including web, mobile, AI-driven, and retail systems
• Flexibly support additional teams and initiatives as needed

User Interviews & Testing

• Conduct weekly or bi-weekly moderated user interviews and usability tests using UserTesting.com or similar platforms
• Engage a variety of customer segments to validate concepts, identify pain points, and uncover user needs

Synthesis & Insight Delivery

• Analyze and synthesize research findings into clear, actionable insights
• Deliver regular research summaries and recommendations to stakeholders
• Share insights within knowledge management systems and support team learning

Example Focus Areas

• Usability testing of prototypes and live digital experiences (e.g., AI features, calculators, onboarding flows)
• Concept validation for account creation and profile management
• Discovery of gaps and opportunities in financial health or planning tools
• Validation of future-state concepts for digital platforms

Tools & Collaboration

• Access to UserTesting.com, internal research tools, insights repositories, and other necessary platforms will be provided
• Close collaboration with product teams for planning, execution, and insight integration

Qualifications

• 5–15 years of experience as a Senior or Lead UX Researcher
• Proficient with UserTesting.com or similar remote testing tools
• Strong skills in generative research, interview moderation, and usability testing
• Experience balancing AI-driven and human-generated insights
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to work independently and with diverse teams

Estimated Min Rate: $70.00
