Desired Schedule : Weekends

• Saturday and Sunday 9a-9pm, then Weekdays : once school starts on August 7th, 2024 @ 1230p-9pm. Willing to have Nurse start shift at 8am or 9am, depending on parents work schedule.

Caregiver Preference : Female

Additional Information : Client is a sweet girl who lives with her parents at home. She has Spinal Muscular Dystrophy, Type 1. She is oriented and able to communicate her needs using her eye by blinking yes or no when you ask her questions. She also has her iPad to communicate with too. She has a non-invasive tracheostomy on continuous ventilator on room air and receives all nutrition and meds via g-tube. The main goals of care are med administration, tube feeding, suctioning as needed throughout the shift, cough assist, vest treatment, nebulizer treatment, and total assistance with ADLs. Training can be done with family or other agency nurse by availability. She needs total assistance with transfers; she weighs about 50 lbs. Family will adjust care plan according to the nurse comfort level. Once routine is learned, there will be downtime for you to socialize with Ava!
