California Licensed Environmental Engineer

A company is looking for an Environmental Health and Safety Engineer in San Diego, CA.

Key Responsibilities

Manage hazardous and biological waste, ensuring compliance with local regulations

Develop and administer in-person training programs for employees on safety protocols

Conduct internal inspections and prepare for external agency inspections

Required Qualifications

Experience with hazardous and biological waste management

Knowledge of San Diego County HAZMAT and CERS regulations

Background in biotech or laboratory environments

Familiarity with facilities management and lock-out / tag-out procedures

Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and vivarium operations is preferred
