$19.77- $29.66 an hour - Full-TIme Days, 32 hours per week
Boulder Community Health is seeking a Lab Billing Specialist who is the primary ITS contact for the Laboratory Department. The Lab billing Specialist will coordinate and manage IT projects within the Laboratory Department. They will also be responsible for coordinating lab responsibilities during testing of interface changes and software updates. This individual may be responsible for some or all of the essential duties of this position as determined by lab management

Qualifications
Possess a Bachelors degree in Medical Technology and / or PC electronics or equivalent experienceValid driver’s licensePrevious Laboratory experience required (3 years preferred).Previous experience working with PC’s and peripherals preferred.Medical accounts receivable familiarity preferred.Responsibilities
Serves on Meditech and other LAB teams as needed.Lab representative on new interface projects, working with IT to develop use cases, testing QA, and implement procedural changes.Pricing analysis for referral testing.Involved with maintenance of Lab Meditech dictionaries.Must be able to conduct meetings and organize follow-up.IT interface with the department.Meditech Update testing and validation.Meditech Issues list maintenance and prioritization.Investigation of Meditech, Mayo Access and Interface errors.Analyzing existing tests for quicker TAT, cost reduction and reduction of lab errors.Build and update test dictionaries including labels, specimen requirements, reference ranges, performing sites and test notes to reduce processing errors.Continued support and education of laboratory staff.Aquire correct CPT, LOINC and EMRID’s for test dictionaries.Lab Service Directory editing.Knowledgeable in-patient reporting : formats, schedules, faxing and monitoring.Knowledgeable in all lab speific hardware.Assist with regulatory readiness (CAP, TJC).Laboratory billing (Quadex reports, CCI edits, Diagnosis code corrections, Med Nec denials, LIS billing adjustments, Rejection batch list, Misc lab billingAbout Boulder Community Health
