About the Opportunity
Join a leading North American manufacturing company in their niche as a core member of the Business Applications team in Charleston, SC. We're seeking a seasoned Business Systems Analyst to optimize and manage our critical ERP and related business systems .
In this role, you won't just support systems-you'll be the crucial link between business needs and technical solutions. You will own the full lifecycle of our applications, ensuring they run efficiently, provide reliable data, and drive success across all manufacturing and business functions.
What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities)
You will serve as the subject matter expert on ERP systems, translating business strategy into technical reality.
- ERP System Ownership : Provide hands-on support, configuration, and optimization for our core ERP system (experience with Oracle EBS , SAP , IFS , or Dynamics is highly valued).
- Requirements & Design : Elicit, analyze, and translate complex business requirements into detailed functional specifications and system designs.
- System Integrity : Manage the end-to-end system testing process across multi-tier environments (Dev / Test / Prod) and collaborate with vendors to resolve bugs and deficiencies.
- Data & Reporting : Ensure business users have robust and accurate data access, developing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to support reporting needs.
- Process Optimization : Critically analyze existing business processes and system integrations to identify downstream / upstream impacts and drive improvements for harmony and efficiency.
- Project Management : Plan, execute, and manage complex system-related projects from inception to completion.
- Communication : Act as the clear translator between technical teams and business users, effectively communicating complex issues in simple, non-technical language.
What You'll Bring to the Team (Minimum Requirements)
Experience & Technical Skills
8+ years of progressive experience in a Business Systems or Business Analyst role.3+ years of hands-on experience with SQL-based databases , including query development, optimization, stored procedures, and views.Direct experience configuring, implementing, or supporting a major ERP system (e.g., Oracle EBS, SAP, IFS, or Dynamics).Working knowledge of system integrations (ETL, B2B communications).Familiarity with manufacturing environments and their related systems.A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, MIS, IT, or a related field.Leadership & Soft Skills
Excellent leadership, communication, and business partnering skills.Strong analytical thinking with the ability to understand and manage the ripple effect of system changes in interconnected environments.Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.Flexibility for occasional evening / weekend work to meet deadlines and required travel.Preferred Skills (A Plus)
Experience with analytical reporting tools, data cubes, or multidimensional reporting.Working knowledge of software development technologies (e.g., Power Platforms, .NET ).Experience with SaaS delivery models and vendor continuous delivery processes.Why Join Us?
