The main responsibility of the Server is “Making Pleasurable Dining Affordable.”  Fulfilling  Golden Corral’s mission statement requires a positive attitude and on going professionalism.  Hospitality is the most important part of the Server’s responsibilities. The keys to success for a Server include a clean, neat appearance, positive attitude, and courtesy.

Hospitality :

• Ensures guest satisfaction and promotes return visits by following the Eight Steps of Service.
• Practices positive public relations through ensuring our restaurant is welcoming and an inclusive environment for all guests.
• Aware of the guests’ needs and works to make the guests’ experience pleasurable.
• Shows enthusiasm and knowledge about new products and special promotions.
• Promotes teamwork by assisting other Servers to ensure outstanding guest service.

Military Appreciation Night & D.A.V. :  Golden Corral© is proud of the U.S. military members who defend our country and our rights. We honor them every year with a special thank you dinner on our Military Appreciation Night. As of 2020, we have served 6 million free meals to our active duty and retired military heroes; and raised over $17 million dollars for Disabled American Veterans.

Camp Corral :  Camp Corral is a week of non-stop fun for the children of wounded, ill, injured, or fallen military members. This camp is free for families, and over the past 9 years Golden Corral as the founding sponsor along with our guests and local communities, has raised $13 million dollars and sent more than 24,000 military children to Camp Corral.

Operational Excellence :  Platinum Corral had 11 of its

restaurants earn the Diamond Award for Operations Excellence in 2019. Only 24 of these Awards for Operations Excellence were presented in the entire Golden Corral brand of almost 500 restaurants that year. This included the #1 and #2 restaurants in

the entire brand nationwide. Excellence was measured by increased guest counts, sanitation scores, co-worker retention, guest feedback scores and community fund raising.
