As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic technology-focused location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, managing badge access, and overseeing alarm panels. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will use computer or tablet systems to support access management and respond promptly to security-related situations.   • What You'll Do :
  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
  • Responsibilities :
  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the premises, following established procedures and protocols specific to the location.
  • Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location, maintaining accurate records and logs as required.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with access-related inquiries and directions.
  • Respond to incidents and security-related situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the business and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal team members to report and document incidents, irregularities, and security-related hazards.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, including following evacuation or lockdown procedures according to site-specific policies.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
  • Minimum Requirements :
  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
